Seoul Named the World’s Greatest City
Seoul has recently been named ‘the world’s greatest city’ by CNNGO,
 the online travel site of the US cable news channel, Cable News Network (CNN).
The report, which cites ‘50 reasons why Seoul is the world’s greatest city,’ depicts various aspects of Korean culture and society.
 First, it shows numerous cultural codes that characterize Seoul,
such as side dishes, food delivery, ondol (heated floors), bibimbap and kimchi, jjimjilbangs (saunas) and couple couches at movie theaters.
 Korean celebrities such as the world figure skater Yuna Kim and Korean pop groups like Big Bang, 2NE1 and Girls Generation are also included in the list.
 Finally, the report introduces multiple Seoul landmarks including
Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace , Asia’s largest underground mall inCOEX , and the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain on Banpo Bridge in Hangang River Park. Meanwhile, Seoul has also been voted by Asian tourists as their favorite world city for the third time in a row.
